Michelle Pearson is the founder and CEO of MPB Essential Technology, Inc., a provider of products that are hands-free and germ-free. Prior to MPB, Michelle was an Adjunct Professor for Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), in the Transition to Teaching Program. Before joining IWU, Michelle held the position of Assistant Principal in the Merrillville Public School system, where she oversaw the Curriculum and Student Behavior.

Michelle has spent the past 27 years educating children and leading colleagues. Michelle holds Masters Degree in Curriculum Development and Instructions and her Administrative License for K12 from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also holds a BS in Education with a Mathematics Endorsement from St. Joseph College, as well as a BS in Accounting and Business Management from Anderson University.

Patricia Mayo

Patricia Mayo, is a retired school teacher and Assistant  Principal with the Philadelphia School District.  She retired  after 39 years of teaching and preparing students for the world of work and college.  She, also, taught juveniles in the prison, on the Block,  preparing them for graduation and their GED.


Patricia has a Principals Certification from Cheyney University; Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Beaver College (Arcadia University);and a  Bachelor in Business Education from Central State University.  


PATRICIA has one  son Brandon and eight grand children; and is a member  of Alpha Kappa Alpha; Pershing Angels Drill Team; Good Fight of Faith Ministries and Secretary of MPB.


Upon retiring Patricia became one of her mother’s caregivers, which she feels was more rewarding than anything she had ever done.  


As the secretary of our family-owned company, MPB, working with my siblings; the rewards just keep getting better and better.  God could not have put me in a better family or place at this time of my life.

Cherry M. Mayo Rhodes

Cherry M. Mayo Rhodes is the wife of Melvin Rhodes for 19 years and the mother of 1 son and 1 great-nephew.

Cherry is an Insurance Specialist and licensed in Property & Casualty and Life and Health Insurance for more than 30 years.   She is also a certified CISR in the insurance industry.   She is currently serving as an advisor and underwriter for Commercial Small Businesses.

Ms. Rhodes is an official board member of MPB Essential Technology from the exceptions of the company.  MPB invention is very dear to Cherry Rhodes heart because it will allow the people of God and other ceremonial organizations to continue holy communion germ-free and without fear.

She feels that the idea of not being able to share in holy communion will leave religious organizations scrambling to find a way to assure their congregations that it is safe. The hard work and invention of a device that will assure people that a germ-free and sanitize device is available, brings Cherry great joy and excitement.

Candace Pearson

Candace Pearson has been in the mental health field for six years while working as a counselor for four of those years.  The product means being able to serve more people in a hygienic and efficient manner.  Her role is to provide mental health assistance to our team members.

Eric Mayo

Eric Mayo, Born on August 21, 1962.  He is a Christian/Gospel artist and songwriter born in Gary IN.  Eric has a wife and three daughters. He has been one of the top salesmen in the country for the last 35 years, in the wireless industry. "I look at this project as a very essential product, with the technology that will reach the World." His role in the company is to coordinate and head the sales Department.

Robert Mayo

Robert Mayo, has been a Christian believer for over 39 years, a husband and father for over 40 years, a proud grandfather of 8, a published author, entrepreneur and currently Assistant Pastor at River of Life Ministries in Gary, Indiana


"My responsibility as one part of this dynamic team and highly diverse group of individuals of MPB Technology is to focus on the technical aspects of this new and up and coming device. My various experiences as an electrical technician, by trade, in various venues, for over 42 years, such as, the steel mill and an oil refinery will be a great asset to this great company

Gwendolyn Beard

Gwendolyn Beard attended Indiana University is the mother of two young adults. 


She was employed at Methodist Hospital for 12 years as an Instrument Technician.  Being instrumental in bringing 1199 National Union of Hospital and Healthcare Employees into the Methodist Hospital of Gary Indiana.  In 1990 she moved to Philadelphia and worked as a Union Organizer for 1199 NUHHCE.  During that time, she was a vital part of organizing the State of Indiana Public employees into American Federation of State County Municipal Employees (AFSCME) AFL-CIO.   Years later she worked for AFSCME as a Representative.   


Gwen retired as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Lake County Indiana. One of the monuments in her life is being an18 year Breast Cancer Survivor.


She is very proud and honored to be a part of MPB as one of their designers, to help bring peace and assurance to God’s people.  

Wendy McLaurin

Wendy McLaurin is the mother of two children Thomas and Erika, with 6 beautiful grandchildren.

She is a retired Benefits Manager with 38 years of experience in Human Resources, with an emphasis on employees’ benefits.   Ms. McLaurin is a licensed Insurance Broker in the state of Indiana, for Life and Health insurance.


Wendy currently serves as a Board of Director for several organizations, the Midwest Business Group on Health, MPB Essential Technology, Destiny of Faith Church, River of Life Ministries, and other Advisory Boards. 


Wendy has a master’s degree in Theology and having studied Holy Communion believes it is vital that the people of God continue taking part in the Holy Ordinance that Jesus Christ set forth. Being in Ministry for over 25 years, administering and taking part in Holy Communion I understand the need for a germ- and hands-free product.  MPB has invented a product that provides a solution, that will alleviate users contaminating one another.

The excitement of being a part of what God is releasing in the earth in this season, to assist with sacraments, ceremonial services and other multi-purpose services leaves me with one-word WOW!

I am the lawyer for MPB Essential Technology, and I handle all their legal work. The invention means to me that we are solving the issue of passing germs during communion.
